Get in touch

Use the form at the top of this page, or email support@usingvision.com. Vision is built by one person, so replies usually arrive within one business day. If something is blocking you right now, say so in your message and include which app you are on, iOS or macOS, and the version from the app's settings.

Why Vision asks for Screen Time access

On iPhone, Vision blocks apps and websites during a focus session using Apple's Screen Time framework. Apple only allows an app to do this after you grant it explicitly, and it is the one permission Vision cannot work without. Vision uses it to hide the apps you chose, for as long as the session you started runs, and for nothing else.

If you declined the prompt, open the iOS Settings app, go to Screen Time, and allow Vision there. Then reopen Vision and start a session to confirm it took effect. If the prompt never appeared at all, a Screen Time restriction on the device may be blocking it, which is common on a device managed by a school or employer.

Ending a session early

What is possible depends on the protection level you chose when you started, and the difference is the point of the feature rather than a limitation.

  • Strict can be ended early. Hold the end button, wait out the short countdown, then type END to confirm.
  • Hardcore cannot be ended that way at all. Its only exit is Emergency Stop, which asks you to type STOP, and you get three of them per rolling seven day window. When those are used up, no Hardcore session can be ended early until one falls outside the window. This is deliberate. If it were easy to undo it would not be doing anything.

A Hardcore session also ends on its own at the time it was scheduled to finish, whether or not the app is open.

Vision will not delete while a Hardcore session runs

Deleting the app is the most obvious way around a block, so Vision switches off its own removal for the length of a Hardcore session. If iOS refuses to delete Vision, a session is still running. Wait for it to finish, or use an Emergency Stop, and deletion works normally again.

On macOS

Vision has to live in your Applications folder. It installs a small privileged helper to do real website blocking, and macOS refuses to register that helper for an app running from anywhere else, including the Downloads folder. If blocking silently does nothing, check where the app is first.

If a block ever seems stuck after a session has ended, this command clears Vision's own firewall rules and nothing else on your system:

sudo pfctl -a com.visionswift.hardcore -F rules

Then quit and reopen Vision. If it comes back, email us with what you were doing when it started.

Subscriptions and cancelling

Core is free and needs no subscription. Edge and Max are billed monthly, and where you cancel depends on where you subscribed.

  • Bought on iPhone, through the App Store: manage or cancel it in the iOS Settings app under your Apple Account, then Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us.
  • Bought on Mac, through our checkout: open the billing portal from the app, where you can change or cancel the plan. Email us for anything the portal will not do.

Cancelling stops future billing and leaves you on the free plan when the period you already paid for ends. Your targets, sessions, and history stay in your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, under Profile. It removes your account and the data attached to it, including your targets, sessions, and history. It cannot be undone, and it does not by itself cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that through Apple as described above.

What Vision needs to run

  • iPhone, iOS 26 or later.
  • Mac, macOS 15 or later, running from the Applications folder.
