Vision ("Vision," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Rodrigo Alapont Seara, an individual based in Spain, and refers to the Vision iOS and macOS applications (the "App"), an execution and focus-session product for founders and operators. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the App and to this website. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), Rodrigo Alapont Seara is the data controller.

1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create a Vision account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email address those providers share with us. We do not receive or store your Apple ID or Google account password.
Execution and productivity data
The core of Vision is data you create directly: targets, categories, focus sessions and their outcomes, session templates, notes, cover images, and your Focus Score history. We use this data solely to run the product for you (showing your progress, computing your Focus Score, and — where enabled — the AI features described in Section 3).
Screen Time and app/website blocking (iOS)
On iOS, Vision uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity) to block distracting apps and websites during a focus session, and to show you an in-app usage report. The underlying Screen Time data — which apps you use and for how long — is processed entirely on your device and inside Apple's privacy-preserving Screen Time framework. We never receive it, store it, or transmit it off your device; this is an architectural guarantee of Apple's framework, not just a policy choice on our part. What we do store is your own configuration — which apps and sites you've chosen to block, and at which protection level (Strict or Hardcore) — so the correct block applies each time you start a session.
macOS blocking
On macOS, blocking is implemented locally through a privileged helper installed alongside the App, using the same principle: your blocklist is stored in your account so it follows you across devices, but which apps or sites you actually visited is never collected.
Devices and notifications
If you enable cross-device sync, we store a device identifier, device name, and (if you allow notifications) a push notification token, so that locking in a session on one device can be reflected on another. We use this only to deliver the sync and notification features you've turned on.
Accountability Partners
If you choose to connect with another Vision user as an Accountability Partner, a limited view of your execution activity (for example, whether a session is currently active) is shared with that specific person, and vice versa. This only happens between accounts that have mutually accepted the connection.
Payment information (macOS only)
Vision is free to download and use on iOS. Paid plans are purchased on the web and managed through Stripe, our payment processor, when you upgrade from the macOS app. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that directly — we only store your subscription status and plan tier so the App can unlock the right features.
Shopify integration (Max plan, Ecommerce businesses)
If your business is categorized as Ecommerce and you're on our Max plan, you can optionally connect a Shopify store to see real revenue and order figures inside the App instead of generic session stats. Connecting uses Shopify's standard OAuth flow and grants read-only access to your store's orders (the read_ordersscope) — Vision never requests access to your customers' personal information, products, or any other part of your store. We store the resulting access token so we can fetch today's and yesterday's revenue and order counts on your behalf; those figures themselves are computed live on each request and are never saved. You can disconnect the store at any time from inside the App, and uninstalling Vision from your Shopify admin automatically and permanently deletes the stored access token on our end as well.
Website waitlist
If you join the waitlist on this website, we store the email address you provide and which page you signed up from. We use this only to email you about Vision's launch and billing opening up — nothing else.
2. Cookies and tracking
This website and the App use no cookies, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising trackers of any kind. We don't run a cookie banner because there's nothing to consent to — we simply don't track you across sites or sessions.
3. AI features (Vision Analysis)
On paid plans, Vision can generate written insights about your targets, sessions, and business data ("Vision Analysis"). To do this, a summary of the relevant data described above is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing, and the resulting text is shown back to you inside the App. This feature never includes Screen Time data, since we never have access to it in the first place (see Section 1). Vision Analysis only runs when you have a plan that includes it, and only for the specific data needed to generate that insight. These insights are informational only — Vision never uses them to make an automated decision about you that would have a legal or similarly significant effect.
4. How we use your information
- To operate the core features of the App described above.
- To keep your account secure and authenticate you across devices.
- To send you notifications you've opted into (partner activity, proactive suggestions, session-related alerts).
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
- To maintain and improve the reliability of the service (for example, diagnosing a failed request).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App — there is no ad tracking of any kind.
5. Legal basis for processing (EU/EEA/UK)
If you're located in the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR for each purpose above:
- Account and execution data— processed to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)): we can't provide the App without it.
- Vision Analysis and Accountability Partners — processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), since both only run once you actively enable them.
- Security, fraud prevention, and service reliability — processed under our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping the service working and safe.
- Waitlist emails — processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) when you submit the form.
6. Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to run Vision, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and backend functions.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and the on-device Screen Time framework described in Section 1.
- Google — Google Sign-In, if you choose that login method.
- Anthropic — processes the data described in Section 3 to generate Vision Analysis insights, for accounts with that feature enabled.
- Stripe — processes payments for macOS subscriptions.
We do not share your data with any other third party, and we do not share it with these providers for their own marketing purposes.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time from Settings inside the App. Deletion is irreversible: your targets, sessions, history, and account information are removed from our production systems immediately, and from operational backups within about 30 days, except for any data we're legally required to retain for longer. Waitlist emails are kept until Vision launches billing/access or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first.
8. Your rights
EU/EEA/UK residents (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export (data portability), delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly from the App (Settings → Account), or by emailing support@usingvision.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
California and other U.S. state residents
Vision doesn't currently meet the thresholds that trigger the California Consumer Privacy Act (we're pre-launch, with no meaningful revenue and far fewer than 100,000 users), but we honor the same rights regardless: you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, at support@usingvision.com. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of.
9. Children's privacy
Vision is not directed at children and is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Vision's blocking features use Apple's Screen Time APIs in individual (self-management) mode, not Apple's parental/family mode, and are meant for the account holder to manage their own device.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. International data transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
